A whole was made in the front by a acetylene torch so a light could be put in while the two holes in the back where made in order to pick the lock. The safe dial was then picked- seen in photo's. A locksmith had to drill into the back in order to see the mechanism on the front door to get inside. NY The two holes on the backside of the safe were made because the combination had been lost.
